Learn decorative pop up book techniques to add to your creative arsenal! In this class, we will use recycled paper, collage and paint to create moving parts for your journal pages or artwork. We will tackle two different pop ups; a pop up landscape, and another one with moving parts. You will take home samples of a simple 3D pop up landscape, and learn how to create moving eyes or hands to surprise and entice the viewer.
About the teacher: Courtney Johnson
Courtney Johnson is an artist and recycler. Figuring out how to blend the two together lead her to create REmake Art, a sustainable art program teaching reuse and repurpose in art. Courtney has taught everything from bookmaking to oil pastels with adults and children. She enjoys guiding students on their journey through art while incorporating environmentally friendly materials and methods.

Class Requirements
Bring any image you would like to incorporate into your pop up; magazines, photos, prints, or mementos. All supplies will be provided along with a large collage box to rummage through. Oh, and bring your imagination.
